INFORMATION ON THE BERLIN WALL AT THE BRANDENBURG GATE

HISTORICAL EXHIBITION IN THE UNDERGROUND STATION

The new underground station includes a presentation of the Brandenburg Gate’s history in seven phases, from its construction to the Cold War, with the rise and fall of the Berlin Wall, to the present.

The entrance hall of the station contains an interactive presentation about the building of the Wall in 1961 and its reopening 38 years later. Quotations of public figures – from both sides of the Wall – are displayed in the stairwell.
